Going Solo/Comical Documentary *Final Proposal*

If you’re wondering why I’m now posting a final proposal, a few months ago Michael Smith showed me his “Mother Oh God Mother” project he put together on tumblr, which was the shower scene of the movie “Psycho” and it was amazing. Decided to do that as a team, but due to complications and whatever I’m going solo. I wanted to do this, but since I passed the idea to someone else, gotta be original again, so I decided I am going to do a documentary.

Using what was told by the students in the 401 classes, I will now explain how I will pull this off.

My idea is basically a documentary on a friend of mine who has a funny life. He is 45 years old and acts as if he is 20, which is why I respect him. He jumps around dances, everyone in my workplace loves him; but me knowing him deeply than others, I feel that I can make this a comical documentary. I made him do the “Five Animal Styles of Shaolin” for my Television class in the studio, which you can watch here, and he loved it. So he is down to work on this with me. Title will be “The Tales of Al Anderson”. What gave me this idea is the stories he was telling me about him, coming to the US, sneaking into his brother house to sleep in due to the landlord, the bums (literally bums) in Jamaica Ave asking for cigarettes, and the managers screwing him over at the workplace. I want to shoot this somewhat like the TV series “Trailer Park Boys“.

My audience is basically anyone who is interested in humor. It is not targeted to any specific age group, gender, or whatever. This clip is going to be 5 to 6 minutes long. I am going to do the documentary at this park by Jamaica avenue he sit at everyday. I’m going to add a ton of B-roll of him doing his daily stuff that makes him funny (like asking for swipes, buying chicken, etc. (don’t want to spoil it all)). I plan on shooting this summer, I am going to start in June 25th where hopefully the weather is nice and I can get my hands on a camera from the school. I do not have money at the moment to buy me a professional camera, although I plan to do so in the near future. I am going to shoot this everyday he is off at the park I mentioned earlier. The first day I am going to film the whole interview. The other days I am going to film the shit load of funny B-roll, then the remaining days (The start of next Fall 2014 I will edit and such) After shooting the hardest part would be to edit, because I have not done much of that, but I will learn as the days go by with YouTube videos and such.

OddJordan- Fake it till you make it

Hello all, this site here is my temporary digital presence. It will not be something I show professionally to people I would want to work with in the future. Oddjordan.com will be the official name of my website. Here I will post all assignments I have ever done. During the summer, I’m going to open up a website with squarespace.com and transfer everything through there. It is a bit pricey, but I like their layouts and how simple everything is to put together.

For this final project I decided to do a series of gifs dedicated to my all time favorite anime, Dragon Ball Z with the help of my partner Deji. The Scene I use is the Father-son Kamehameha wave used by the son of the main character Goku, finishing a very powerful opponent… Perfect Form Cell. I was inspired to do this by watching Michael’s super awesome series of gifs “”Mother Oh God Mother

The process will take a lot of time to complete first we have to find the HD version of the Father Son Kamehameha Wave shown here. The plan is to get that clip into a series of gifs. Each gif would be about 2 to 3 seconds which would be roughly 50 gifs in total.

The target audience for this would be DBZ fans and I am positive that they will love it. It’s a scene in the movie that got everybody riled up because the faith of the earth was in the hands of a teenage boy, and with the help of his father spiritually, they were able to perform the Kamehameha Wave. It was the first and probably the most epic scene in the Cell Saga.

This is one of the ideas for the group gif I batman, and Deji (Robin) is planning to do. The other idea for the project Deji wants to do a series of gifs dedicated to horror films -_- we are still deciding  and close to a decision.

Movie Gif Project- IT WAS A MIRACLE!

My final project idea is to do a sequence of movie gifs. I plan on using the movie “Pulp Fiction” for this project. The scene I am thinking of using is the part wear Samuel Jackson is in the apartment and gets shot at, and believes it was a miracle that caused it all to miss. Sounds like a simple put together but it is really time consuming. Currently I am cutting the scenes into parts to gif them.

I was inspired to do this by watch Michael’s version of this “Mother Oh God Mother

It ain’t ralph tho

Saturday I did a shopping on plndr, and my friend kept constantly telling me the thing I bought “ain’t ralph (Ralph Lauren) tho” which is a reference that is constantly used from Kanye’s rant video in Sway TV. Was being creative with my iphone app which was a bogus photoshop app that allows you to play around with photos damn you yeezy

Sorry Yeezy

For the creative week assignment thing, just thought I post a picture of a party thrown a couple weeks ago because… “I got all the answers Ye” #Comeatmebruh
